Prize Day

Haven't been here in a while. Prize day was pretty good, apart from Mr Logan's (head teacher) speech. His speech just dragged on and on and on. Then again, it is an annual report.

I got a prize for getting second in Mathematics for the whole level. It was really just a book voucher for £6. Watching people go up to get the prize was good too.

Yesterday was me and Ryan's anniversary! It was one of the best days we had out, ever. First we hanged around Downpatrick where we got our lunches. I had a foot long sub with meatball marinara, which is The Best meat you can get. I only got a foot long sub 'cos it's on offer with £4 for a foot long sub with anything you want in it. If there is meatball marinara in Subways in Singapore, go get them soon! It's the best. But if you're afraid of mess, bring it home first.

Then we went to Ryan's place where we watched Nightmare Before Christmas, and Walk the Line. Those are really good movies and I strongly urge you to watch them. Walk the Line is about Johnny Cash's life story, which is pretty good. Viewer discretion will be advised for it cos there's lots of drink and drugs in it which kind of disturbed me. Nightmare Before Christmas is one of the best films ever, Tim Burton is my favorite producer.

Then we made a MASSIVE omelette with lots of bacon, mushrooms and cheese, followed up with fizzy drink and chocolate cheesecake which I brought from home for Ryan to try. He's heard so much about the chocolate cheesecake Auntie Carol makes but has never had a taste. The first spoonful had him hooked. :)

Great day yesterday! Here's to an even better week! It's the holidays and Ryan's coming over on Wednesday!

Stumble

I have found one of the most amazing things EVER on the internet. Stumbling. Yes! Not walking around and falling over. It's on the internet. And you download this tool bar after you create an account stating your interests, then after that you just click on "Stumble!" and they will Stumble you to a random website that concerns your interests. Then if you like it, click on the thumbs up button saying "I like it!" and it will save under your favorite pages.

Through Stumbling on Sunday, I have found lots of funny pictures. After weeding out the less funny ones, I hereby present you with The Top Two!

The difference between cats and dogs

Now I know why men lose hair...

The Stumbling has also brought me upon a few really funny comic strips. So here are two of them too:I just thought it might be nice to share this little bit of information with everyone!

Cat And Laundry..

Do not mix.

I was folding my clothes today in my room, on my bed. Cos I'm just too darn lazy to iron them. Besides, with the cold weather, I'm wearing my shirts under my jumper anyway so who sees them? Anyway, I left the clothes for a little while and then came back up to my room to see Missy lying around my clothes like a really really comfortable bed.

Now, I'm all for rolling about soft fluffy duvets and towels and stuff, but these are my clothes! And as much as you want to share the love, I don't really want your fur on my towels which I use to dry myself with. Silly as I am, I left her among my clothes purring away while rubbing her furry face on my towel.

Unfortunately, she got into a rather playful mood and started to sink her claws into anything that moves. That would be the shirts and towels as I flip them out to get them to spread out, and my toes.

Did anyone say "Ow"?

Well anyway, I grabbed my camera so you can all see her frolicking amongst my clothes and laugh at my unfortunate-ness. It really wasn't too bad.

This is her frolicking:And her sitting on her throne of trousers:Halfway through folding my clothes, I got bored and decided to give Missy this baby toy. Which is a smiling butterfly whose wings crinkle when you touch them and moves around whenever you pull the string. I moved it around a few times in front of her, and then sat back and take pictures while she investigated it.I don't think she quite liked it's smiling face. She must have been thinking this:

Missy: Ohohoho, a new victim. Bow and fear me! What? You're not scared? Why are you just smiling at me? *poke*
Butterfly's wings crinkle.
Missy: Hah! There! You have experience my wrath! Now tremble before me!
Butterfly smiles back.
Missy: Fear me, Dammit! *chomp*

And it goes on and on. I even got a video for you here:

At the end I thought I could show you how she sinks her claws into anything that moves by waving the shirt I was currently folding but it didn't work too well. She left shortly after the video. The butterfly must have annoyed her with it's mocking smile.

Quiz From Seow Peng

Got tagged by Seow Peng to do this quiz. I know I've done it before and that it doesn't really make for quality reading but still.

1) The person who tagged: Seow Peng

2) Your relationship with him/her is: friend. She knows how important she is. :)

3) Your five impressions of him/her:
1. Loves to laugh
2. Very friendly even though she claims she is shy.

6) If he/she becomes your lover, you will:
Irrelevant! It will never happen.

7) If he/she become your lover, thing he/she has to improve on will be:

Generally don't lose my temper until I'l pushed over the edge. I can also work really hard if I have to.

14) On the contrary, the characteristics you hate of yourself are:
Lack the confidence, too shy, maybe a little too quiet and persistent in forcing answers from people sometimes.

15) The most ideal person you want to be is:
Me!

16) For people who care and like you, say something to them:
You people make me who I am today and I want you to know, I'm so happy with myself, so you probably did a great job in molding my character.

17) Pass this quiz to 10 persons:
I have done this quiz before so I will just let whoever it is who is bored do it if they want to.

End of the quiz! Started reading Death Note lately and it is so good! It's actually unbelievable. There are so many twists in the manga and the plot is so intricate it's amazing. I love the way the author makes you absolutely hate the bad person who is relatively normal and yet, love the good guy who would be classed as freakish in our society today.

Just realized I'm such a Romantic. Not as in hearts and flowers, but in the era sense. There is an era called the Romantic period. Poets such as Wordsworth and Coleridge as well as composers such as Beethoven lived during that time. The Romantic ideals would focus on the healing power of Nature and it has started to realize that childhood experiences could affect the adult. So yes, generally the hippies today are the modern-day Romantics. Only realized it there when a girl in the class said Nature was "Just a tree, or a bird". I shall emphasize on 'a'. Nature is not just a tree, or a bird. Nature is everything. Everything we have here, today, comes indirectly from Nature. Without Nature, we would be nothing. I find that there is nothing more calming than to have a pet plant and watch it grow. I had a little miniature violet over last winter and spring and I loved watching it bloom.

I'm such a hippy/Romantic. Call me a tree-hugger but I love Nature and that's that.

My rant is over.

Narnia!

Just posting this to prepare any of you ardent readers (yea right, like I have any), I borrowed the Narnia game off Auntie Alison, and I may be sitting in a darkened room cackling maniac style as I control Lucy and Edmund or whoever it is I favor through war with the White Witch. Teehee! Oh, the wonders of gaming. And I wonder why I'm anti-social when such a small thing can have me occupied for hours.

I lead a sad life. :P
