Sleepover

Had a sleepover at Sarah Patterson's on Thursday night. It was so much fun. Watched Little Nicky and 27 Dresses. Both are great movies and really funny. I even went to see Sarah's horses which was amazing. And they are huge! I know horses can be big but seeing them that huge, that close can be a wee bit scary. Plus, I've only ever saw them in a field far far away..

My chrysanthemums are definitely dying now. They have little dry petals. Going to dump them tomorrow. So here is the last look at them. Say bye!So unbelievably tired now. And school is starting on Monday. Yay! On one hand, I can get to see all my friends and see Ryan everyday again. Well, nearly everyday. But I really can't be bothered getting up at 6.45am in the morning for school. The first few days are going to be tough. :( Ah well, I'll make it through. Received a call on Thursday afternoon from my head master and guess what? This year I don't have to pay £4000+ for my school fees! Isn't that great? This year will be a breeze as well. I think so anyway, because I'm only going to do three subjects. English Literature, Mathematics, and Health and Social Care. The head teacher was saying the universities here only look at the three best subjects so it'll be much wiser to concentrate on three subjects instead.

And I've sent in three application forms. So far, one has answered just to discuss the hours I can work. But it's not good enough for them. Still got a really slim chance though. Waiting for the other two to answer. Sure hope I get a job. I do need the money.

Rough Rough Rough

Things have been so rough yesterday and today. I have been feeling really down again and I just don't know how to pick myself up and where to even start. It's so weird when you finally get something you've always wanted you just don't really know what to do with it. And you are just so afraid to lose it that you end up pushing it away instead. In pushing it away, you feel like a scumbag and just don't think you deserve what you have.

It's a vicious cycle. Hope I get out of it soon.

Anyway, flowers are getting even redder and most definitely smaller than they first were. I've tried to make their water more fertile but they are still showing no signs of perking up. Never ever

Note to self: Never ever ever ever EVER watch a video of salt added to slugs in Youtube again. Not even if you're sure you are not going to throw up.

They really DO melt whenever you add salt to them and apparently it's because all of the water in their bodies would be gushing out. Ouch. Did anyone say "painful"?

I hate slugs. :( They creep me out so bad. Even looking at the pictures make me want to gag.Look! This is the best picture I could find. The not-so-disgusting one. Better quickly finish this post so I don't have to stare at this huge picture of the slug. You can be quite sure I'll be posting quite a bit just so that I don't have to look at that picture whenever my blog page loads.

Sluggishness

Yesterday night was great fun! Went over to Nanny's and then we had a takeaway. I had vegetable curry and fried rice ^___^ I love my veges.

Came back home and when I went into the toilet, and found an almighty big slug crawling on the wall beside the toilet bowl. I'm actually serious when I said this, but I actually yelped while I was there and fought an impulse to run out of the toilet. Good thing, the slug was later taken care of. Taken care of as in picked up with a tissue by my aunt and then thrown out into the garden. Well, just the floor, not quite the garden yet.

This week is going to be pretty busy. Going to Downpatrick and then to Ryan's house on Tuesday, and then going to Sarah's house for a sleepover on Thursday. It's gonna be great fun! Sarah says she's going to let me feed her horses a few treats. ^__^

And have a few photos get through from Ryan. These are taken with my Nikon D1.

But they have kind of shrunk and look quite wilted. Compare the one taken with my Nikon D1 and the one there below. Don't you think the chrysanthemums look a little more unhealthy? Nerrrrrd!

Ryan's gone home last night, and the last two days have been great, with watching Star Wars and all. Yes, I really did watch all six of the movies. 1st, I watched:

Star Wars IVThen Star Wars VThen Star Wars VIThen Star Wars IThen Star Wars II
And last but not least, Star Wars III.
Which is basically the order in which the movies are made. It was actually really good. So good that embarrassingly, I fell asleep and all I could think about was lightsabres and the Jedi.

Then Ryan and me went up to the forest, and the beach. Where we found out that there is something wrong with the standard lens that I had on the camera-it was too dark to take photos with, and wouldn't focus properly. So ended up, I took lots of photos with his camera instead. Teehee, was fun and I will put up the photos whenever he sends them to me. The beach was fine, but the forest was quite bad, Whenever you stand at a stationary position for more than five minutes, the flies will come buzzing around you. Both of us suffered numerous bits from the flies. Pests.

Oh! And the chrysanthemums have turned even redder, which is good. Here are the pictures of what they look like now! They're drying up kinda, but there is still water in the vase. The flowers seem to have some what, shrunk. Hmm...

Flower Dye!

Feel loads better today. :) Jordan's passed his driving test! Feeling a little envious and yes, now I think I might actually be ready to learn to drive. ^_^ Anyway, the chrysanthemums have been turning pink or red pretty fast now, even though it's just the outside petals of the flower. Pictures of the chrysanthemum!Ryan's coming for a sleepover tomorrow! Feeling so excited 'cos I haven't seen him since last Thursday for a few minutes when we were getting our results and the only other proper time I've seen him was last last Monday. We've already planned to try to watch as many Star Wars movies as possible because I never really remembered watching them before. Yay!

Another sleepover coming up next week at Sarah's. It's gonna be great and I can't wait for it. Yay! Jordan finally passing his driving test means he can finally drive on his own to places. Which also means he can see his girlfriends a lot more wherever they may be. *envy* Don't worry! With me working as much as I can when school starts, paying for driving lessons shouldn't be too hard. Hopefully I can handle the pressure. Let's see how many new things I have now for this school year:

1) Piano lessons and practice for March Grade 8 exam
2) A level exams in January plus my new study plan
3) Work work work!
4) Possible driving lessons

Shouldn't be too much hassle I don't think. Just try to play less then. I can't wait!! Yes I will be so scared, but still, it'll be worth it. Hooray for independence!

Down down down..

I feel so down today. I don't really know why. Past two days have been OK. Well, on Saturday there was a flood in the house in the utility room. Water was coming in through the hole in the wall where the neighbor drilled to get water out of their garden. And they drilled a hole in our wall without telling us. It was raining heavily, the river burst it's banks, and high tide is yet to come. So, as fast as I was scooping the water out while waiting for help to come, water was coming right back in through the hole. Eventually, after about 2 hours, things calmed down and I can stop scooping water out or mopping the floor. The utility room is still a mess though.

Sunday was even better. Felt really good 'cos I changed my bed sheets, scrubbed my own little toilet clean and hoovered my room. Was real tired in the end but it was still good. But today? Oh I don't know. Must be the weather. I just feel so down. Can't be psyched up for anything at all. Didn't want to blog originally. But hey, at least I can get some of the negative energy out right? Maybe I should go get a shower and then go up to nanny's for some puppy love from the Yorkshires. They've grown an awful lot. And maybe I might take a few photos too.

Feel like crying, I have no energy, I don't know what to do. :( :(

Updates On My Personal Life

I actually got back my results for my AS levels on Thursday, but I just forgot to blog about it. So happy to have my results back! This is so great. Here are the results:

A for Maths,
B for English Literature,
C for Health And Social Care,
C for Computing.

I must place great emphasis on the computing results. Remember whenever I failed one of the easiest modules of computing? Well, I worked hard for the last few days before computing, and wonder of wonders! It paid off! For those two modules in computing which I studied hard for, I got an A and a B, which kinda levels out that U grade I got in that terrible module. So yes! I got a C! So yea, got back into Down High, and I'm still studying four subjects.

With any luck, I'll pass my piano Grade 8 this March and then I'll have five A level subjects to present to the university.

Slept with my hair in plaits to see if I could wake up with curly hair, it worked! Well I took a photo for all to poke fun and laugh at. Please ignore my sleep-blurred eyes as well as the funny expression on my face, ignore also, the bad quality of the picture. So here you go! Me and my curly hair:Well today didn't go too badly. (watch out, rant below)

Just, I mean, I appreciate that people want to have to good old time teasing others and making fun of them. Just you have to know when to stop. And whenever that person walks off just stop teasing them instead of throwing an insult at their retreating back. How dumb can you get? Argh. Hate it whenever people do that. I also hate the way I have over-active tears ducts. When are my tear ducts finally going to dry up a little and not dribble at the slightest thing?

I'm totally fine now. Can't really stay angry for long. Which is a good thing I guess. It's a really rainy day today, kinda depressing with the rain just pouring down. But, it makes for good sleeping. Which I can't really do or I'll get a jumbo headaches. Decisions, decisions.

"Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret." -Ambrose Bierce (he was an American editorialist, journalist, short-story writer and satirist)

Finally!

Finally, Ryan's back, Sarah's finished her work placement, and Jude and Claire are coming back today! Yay! Goodbye loneliness!

OH! And I received a really cute card from Cheryll today! It's so cute. And she's put a picture of us on the card. I was a little choked up about it 'cos it brought back the happy memories. I can't wait to see my friends in Singapore again!

Anyway, found out something really radical today. The long-awaited has happened! My white chrysanthemums now have the teeniest smudge of pink the edges! Look! This was how I found out. For quite a few days now, the top of the vase I had it in was starting to look a little grubby. And it is also starting to smell just a teeny bit awful. A bit like vegetable rot, but not that strong yet. I was actually starting to give up and thinking of putting it away and that's when I noticed just the slightest tinge of pink at the edges. I'm not actually joking when I say this, but I literally sat there and stared for ages at the pink edges just to make sure that my eyes aren't deceiving me. But yes! There it is, under the mid-day sun, in all it's pinky glory.

But just look at the rot or fungus what whatever it is that's there now! I wonder how bad it'll get before the chrysanthemums turn all pink. I sure hope it's before the smell starts to grow so strong it attracts flies.

Quiz Time!

Got tagged by Yilin to do this quizz. Oh! And by the way, it's Seow Peng's birthday today! Yay! Happy Birthday Seow Peng! 18 years old already! I don't think you can grow anymore. *sigh* Disappointed much? Haha. Anyway hope you enjoy your birthday today!

Now, back to that quiz.

1.What disappoints you the most?
Whenever I build my hopes up for something too much only to find it doesn't happen. It'll be my own fault really.

2.Where would you go if someone sponsors u a air ticket?
I'll try to get a trip around the world. Preferably with a few friends. Who wants to travel alone?

3.Whats your favorite things to do?
Blogging, chatting on the phone, having heart-to-hearts with close friends, helping people out, practicing my piano. Trying new foods which don't look or smell too bad.

4.Do you think money can buy you happiness?
Probably not. Though in this world now you have to have at least a certain amount of money to ease up the stress of paying the bills. But no, I don't want to be excessively rich.

5.If you had one dream to come true, what will it be?
Just be happy with what I have and be contented as much as possible.

6.Do you believe in love at first sight?
Sometimes.

7.What are u afraid to lose?
My family, my friends, anything which makes me happy.

8.If you win one million, what would you do?
Put it into a bank with the highest interest rate and then live off the interest, giving some to my family as well.

9.What do you dream of doing in future?
Being a psychologist or a psychiatrist. I really don't mind so long as I'm in care work.

10.What do you want most right now?
To be happy. ^___^

11.Do you believe in fate?
Generally yes.

12.What do you think it is the most important in your life?
My family, friends, health, emotional wellbeing.
13.Who are the ones that can make you very happy when you're super upset no matter when?
Well, depends on who upsets me. Most of the time I get upset by those who are closest to me cos I care so much. Anyway, Ryan, family, Sarah, Claire, Jude.
14.If you have a chance to choose, would you like to come back in time?
Nopez nopez. No way! If I do, I wouldn't be here today. And I am who I am because of what I have gone through and even though I'm not exactly happy with myself now, I wouldn't change my past for the world as imperfect as it is.

15.What is the thing you'd want to do before dying?
Letting all my loved ones know that I love and care for them. And that if I could see them, I'll let them know somehow.

16.What is the stupidest thing you have done?
Well..there are a few really embarrassing moments in my life. Are you sure you want to hear it? Here goes. Trying to look cool by emphasizing a point with hand actions, not realizing that my hand is holding my wallet and that the wallet is open. All my money flew out onto the floor. Made me look so stupid. Holding in my pee for a grand total of 7 hours all because I was too scared to ask the teacher and I deeply regretted it. My bladder was never the same again (I was about 8 then). Believing my (ex) best friend that vampires exist and doing all the stupid things she asked me to do which includes reading a whole book out loud as loud as I can (other kids thought I was crazy).

17.How do you feel when someone important ignores you?
I'll be really annoyed for starters, and if trying to find out what's wrong fails, I'll probably ignore them back. For less than a day. I'm a big softy really.

18.What you like most about earth?
I love the way nature can create something so much more beautiful and stronger than any man ever could. And I love the mountains, the sea. To me, the way each flower comes out perfect amazes me.

19.Have you ever liked a person until you are willing to die for him or her?
Nah don't think so.

20. Do you think long relationships are good or bad?
Generally, long relationships are better because as much as long relationships hurt, I find that most of the time you come out a stronger person learning more about yourself.

Cards

Well, as I have mentioned before, I recently have been making quite a few cards on my own. I have been a little apprehensive about putting photos of the cards up before because people who the cards are meant for might read it. After some thought though, I decided that it'll be ok putting them up so long as I don't mention who it is for. ^__^

So! To make a card, first you must have..Scissors and glue! Or glue dots if you can find any.

I love using glue dots especially for sticking on sequins as well as other little knick-knacks on the card to jazz it up. I do buy sequins occasionally because they're great for giving the card that little special touch. If you don't really want to waste money though, just dig through cards which you have received before and cut out the pictures and stick them onto the card. Which is what I do as well. Sometimes even brochures from supermarkets and film postcards work really well too. I have also bought those big foam alphabets for some extra texture and fun in a card. Down side is, after 'H' for 'Happy', and 'B' for Birthday, there isn't much you can do with it. So far, it's working pretty well. Color pens are optional and even though most people may think that color pens make the card look prettier, color pencils work just fine so long as they are sharpened.

Last of all, do not try to save up pictures or sequins for another time unless you already have an idea for the next card you are going to make! What I find is, each time I try to scrimp and save on a card, I normally end up with a card that just looks really plain and half-heartedly made.

So, here are just some of the cards I've made so far. With a little bit of imagination, you can also use wrapping paper to make little bags for presents which will look silly wrapped up.And remember I mentioned the dyeing of the chrysanthemums? Well here they are taken a few days ago. See? It is still pure white.Well, I hope I didn't bore you too much with the pictures of cards and things. Just to clarify though, I haven't made a card in ages, and those featured above are most certainly not made today.

Lonely

Feel a wee bit lonely today. None of my friends are free to message me on my mobile phone. Ryan is away to Dublin with hardly any credit in his phone meaning he can't text till he comes back, and Jude and Claire are away to Rome. Sarah is now having her work experience which means she wouldn't be free to text me too.On the bright side though, I did get to spend some quality time with my aunt and Jordan. Even though we're just sitting in the living room playing our own separate games. I was on my Nintendo DS, aunt was on the laptop and Jordan on the play station. We did joke around and talked a little though which is good.

Right, so it's off to bed with me. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade! I'm going to have some 'me' time tomorrow! Well, I'll try to anyway. Books and card-making, here I come!

Pictures!

Remember I got the Nikon D1 camera from Ryan for my birthday? Here are the pictures I took on the camera. Ryan is there but not me because I didn't want photos of myself. :P

Here are the best photos I took outside in Downpatrick. Taken using close-up filters. I love using the close-up filters because you can take photos really close up and in detail and it's great. And this is still outside in Downpatrick. Taken without close-up filters. And are the photos of the spiderweb. I found it and then sprayed water on it and took photos. The one with the spider in it is Ryan's. One without the spiderin it is mine. ^__^Then this is the next day, when I took photos of the chrysanthemum. Remember I tried to dye my chrysanthemums at least pink or red? Well, it's still as pure and pristine white as the day I put it in beetroot juice. Anyway, here are the photos."Photography can only represent the present.
